I honestly don’t have much to report out of this weekend, due to spending 99% of it in the house with Typhoid Mary. Our big outing on Saturday was to the pediatrician’s office, where Charlotte was able to see her regular doctor. Her temperature was much lower, and her spirits were better, so he sent us packing after some bloodwork with orders to lay low and keep an eye on her. He weighed and measured her since she’s just turned 11 months. She’s 20.5 lbs and 30 inches long, which places her in the 48th percentile for weight and the 90th for height. I’ll be anxious to see where she is next month on her birthday.

So, we hung out at home yesterday and today we were brave enough to take a family trip to the grocery store. Charlotte woke up from a long morning nap sweating profusely and her temperature was back to normal. She’s totally off of the children’s Motrin now and I’m very hopeful that her temperature is normal in the morning, too. If it isn’t, we’ll be back at the pediatrician to figure out what’s really going on.

I spent most of the afternoon cooking for the week since I’m leaving for NYC on Tuesday after work and I wanted the troops to have dinner in the fridge while I’m away. Mr. P installed a new car seat in his car. We hadn’t bought a new big-girl car seat for her when we bought the seat for my car, since Charlotte hardly ever rode in Mr. P’s car. However, Mr. P is the one who brings her to school now - so he’s been jamming the poor baby into her infant seat for the past week. Now she’s riding in style - and more importantly, much more comfortably. I have a Britax Decathlon in my car, which I love. Unfortunately, the Decathlons were backordered online and I didn’t want to wait, so I ordered a Marathon, which seems virtually identical. They are both big ass car seats though. I wouldn’t describe installation as easy.

I suppose I should go iron. That’s something I did not miss - ironing my clothes for the week on Sunday nights. It’s a real pain in the ass but I’d rather take the time to do it tonight than scramble to find something non-wrinkled and clean in the morning. Not to mention finding a pair of nylons without runs. I didn’t miss nylons, either. I desperately need new work pants, too. I’d love to hear your favorite choices for pants that you wear to work, since I’m stuck in a Banana Republic rut.

Not much else to report. Charlotte’s on the mend, we’re all back to work tomorrow, and I’ll be in NYC until Thursday night, so blogging might be spotty. I’ll try to check back in, but otherwise, have a fabulous week!
